A Malaysian influencer couple recently turned heads by booking out the entire Sunway Lagoon theme park to celebrate their wedding
According to Instagram Stories shared by friends and guests, YouTuber Chang Yong tied the knot with fellow content creator Wen Shu Sen at Sunway Lagoon on Tuesday, 16 December.
With a guest list made up of fellow online personalities and influencers, the amusement park wedding has quickly drawn attention beyond Malaysia, making headlines in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Guests were treated to a fully personalised experience throughout the park featuring the couple, complete with custom wedding archways, wristbands, goodie bags, photo booths, and more
The celebrations reached new heights when the couple made a dramatic entrance by flying over their guests on Sunway Lagoon's Flying Fox ride, leaving attendees in awe.
The festivities continued on stage, where the newlyweds performed for their guests. Singaporean content creator Rurusama jokingly remarked that "[this is what happens] when two extroverts get married".
According to Chinese outlet XUAN, the bride also put on a diabolo performance, while the groom impressed the crowd with a taekwondo routine and dance solo.
Clearly, the couple spared no effort and expense in bringing their vision to life
The couple also shared official wedding photos on Instagram yesterday, 17 December, captioned: "Just completed our dream wedding."
In response to the viral wedding, Sunway Lagoon confirmed that its event spaces are open to the public for booking and regularly hosts events beyond its rides, including weddings, ROMs, anniversary celebrations, and large-scale concerts.
While not the first wedding at the park, the theme park said the couple's celebration was among the most exciting it has hosted in recent times.
