If you thought Easter performances were all choir songs and candlelight… this one said go big or go straight to the sky

A video by TikTok user @cestuj_s_yanashi is currently making rounds online after capturing what might be one of the most unexpectedly hilarious Easter moments in Seoul, South Korea.

In the clip, an actor portraying Jesus is seen literally ascending into the sky during an Easter performance, and not just for a few seconds.

Suspended by what appears to be two cables, he slowly rises up while confetti bursts around him, fully committing to the scene

Except… he just keeps going.

Like, way higher than anyone expected.

At first, it feels like a standard dramatic reenactment. But as the actor continues floating upwards for what feels like minutes, the whole thing quickly turns into an unintentional comedy.

Viewers (and probably the crowd on the ground too) were left wondering the same thing: how high is this man going??

Naturally, the Internet had thoughts

"Is he attached to the MOON??" one commenter asked.

"Do they have plans to bring him down before Christmas?" another wrote.

"Homeboy isn't even at the event anymore," another laughed.

Towards the end of the video, things start to make a bit more sense when a crane is spotted in the distance, presumably what's lifting him high above the ground

Still, credit where it's due. The dedication is truly unmatched.

"They really committed to the role," the TikTok user commented, and honestly, we couldn't agree more.
