You Can Use Your Smartphone To Create 3D Hologram. Here’s How

A cool party trick to impress your friends.

To turn your smartphone into a 3D hologram projector, you will need graph paper, a CD case, a pen, a pair of scissors, sellotape, a craft knife or glass cutter and — of course — your smartphone

1. Start with sketching out a basic trapezoid shape on the graph paper using the dimensions 1cm x 3.5cm x 6cm

3. Carefully snap off the shallow sides of the CD case

4. Trace the shape on the CD case, then use the craft knife to cut out the shape. Use this first piece to cut out three additional pieces.

5. Tape the four shapes together to form the shape shown below:

6. Turn off the lights, place the DIY projector on your phone screen and load up a hologram-specific video
