Robotics pioneer AGIBOT has officially launched its 2026 Asia-Pacific strategic expansion with a major event at i-City, Selangor

The event marked the opening of Malaysia's first AI & Robotics Experience Centre, established in partnership with property developer I-Bhd and officiated by the Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang.

The launch follows a record-breaking 2025 for AGIBOT, during which the company became the first in the world to reach a milestone of 5,000 mass-produced humanoid robots.

According to data from Omdia, AGIBOT captured a dominant 39% of the global humanoid market share in 2025, cementing its position as a leading player as the industry shifts from R&D to scaled commercial use.

Located in i-City's AI World precinct, the new Experience Centre serves as a public showcase for AGIBOT's diverse portfolio

Visitors can interact with several distinct robot series:

– AgiBot A2 Series: Full-sized humanoids with 40-plus degrees of freedom, capable of human-like interaction and autonomous navigation

– AgiBot X2 Series: Compact, "lively" humanoids that can walk, perform expressive movements, and even dance or navigate obstacle courses

– AgiBot G2 Series: Industrial-grade robots designed for precise, force-controlled manipulation in manufacturing and logistics

– AgiBot D1 Series: Four-legged "quadruped" bots used for complex environment inspection

– AgiBot C5 Series: Advanced autonomous commercial cleaning robots

The partnership between AGIBOT and I-Bhd extends far beyond a showroom

Plans are underway to develop Malaysia's first AI and Robotics Residential Tower at i-City. This project will serve as a real-world testbed for integrating embodied intelligence into daily home life, with a focus on productivity, wellness, and elderly care.

To lower the barrier for local businesses, AGIBOT is introducing a Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) model. This subscription-based approach allows hotels, hospitals, and retailers to deploy advanced robotics without the high upfront costs of purchasing hardware.
