Prasarana has digitalised the My50 Travel Pass, making it easier for users to activate and renew their monthly unlimited public transport pass
Effective 1 July, users can renew the My50 Pass directly from their smartphones via the Touch 'n Go (TNG) eWallet.
This new option removes the need to tap a MyKad for entry and exit, and lets users skip queues at service counters for activation and renewal.
To renew the My50 Travel Pass via TNG eWallet, users will need an Enhanced TNG Card with NFC functionality, an NFC-capable smartphone, and a verified TNG eWallet account with completed eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) verification.

Here's how you can renew the digital My50 Travel Pass with TNG eWallet
- Launch the TNG eWallet app, complete account verification if you haven't (eKYC)
- Tap on 'More', and find 'Travel Pass'
- Tap on your preferred NFC-enabled TNG card
- Select Travel Pass My50, and choose your activation date
- Complete your payment
- Follow the on-screen instructions
Keep in mind that certain criteria must be met to use this feature
The My50 Travel Pass is exclusively available to Malaysians. Users can only activate one TNG card for their My50 pass, and activation is only permitted once their existing My50 Travel Pass (on their MyKad) has expired.
Notably, the TNG Charm is also compatible with My50 Travel Pass usage. A minimum balance of RM5 on the TNG card remains a standing requirement for all Rapid KL services.
Priced at RM50, the My50 Travel Pass grants Malaysians 30 days of unlimited access to RapidKL's LRT, MRT, BRT, Monorail, and feeder bus services across the Klang Valley. Commuters who are not yet prepared to switch to the TNG eWallet for My50 Travel Pass renewal can still continue to renew their passes via MyKad.
