The Kedah Road Transport Department (JPJ) has seized a high-performance Nissan Skyline ER34 after it was driven illegally for several years
The seizure took place during a routine inspection at KM9, Jalan Darul Aman, near Taman Tengku Maheran, at approximately 6.49pm, yesterday 20 January.

Upon inspecting the Japanese sports car, officers discovered a string of serious offences
The vehicle's Motor Vehicle License (LKM) had reportedly expired for five years. It was also being driven without any valid insurance coverage, posing a significant risk to other road users.
Additionally, its registration numbers did not comply with official government specifications.

Following the inspection, JPJ issued a Seizure Notice under Section 64 of the Road Transport Act 1987, along with a JPJ (P) 22 Notice, to the driver
The vehicle was removed from the road and impounded.
In a statement on Facebook, Kedah JPJ emphasised its "zero-tolerance" policy on road safety and documentation compliance.
"JPJ asserts that there will be no compromise or special treatment, even for high-performance vehicles. Enforcement actions will continue to be strengthened to ensure the safety of all road users," the statement read.
The owner of the Nissan Skyline ER34 now faces a lengthy legal process before the car can be reclaimed, provided all outstanding taxes and fines are paid.
