Google and Pokémon have launched a fun easter egg within their search engine

Fans can now try to catch all 151 of the original Pokémon from the Kanto region directly through their search results.

The game is accessible on both Android and iOS devices. To play, simply search for "Pokémon" or the name of any of the original 151 Pokémon. If your Google Search app is up to date, a Poké Ball icon will appear at the bottom right of the screen, allowing you to start the game.

To complete the Pokémon collection within Google Search, fans must track down each Pokémon individually

However, catching the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon — Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, and Mew — requires the use of Master Balls. These powerful Pokémon are unlocked progressively, with players needing to catch a certain number of other Pokémon first. Specifically, you'll need to catch 5, 20, 50, 100, and finally 150 Pokémon to unlock each of these special encounters.

Once you've captured a Pokémon, you will unlock your personal Pokédex to track your adorable critters

This personal page allows you to keep track of your progress and provide hints on Pokémon you haven't captured yet. This is crucial if you want to capture all of the Pokémon, and unlock the key to capturing the original five Legendary Pokémon, which requires you to capture all 150 Pokémon before obtaining a Master Ball.
