The 2026 FIFA World Cup broadcast will feature different levels of coverage depending on the platform. Unifi TV, a paid subscription service, will air all 104 matches live, while RTM will air a majority of matches either live or on a delayed telecast basis.

Communications Minister and government spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the government had approved an allocation of RM24 million to secure broadcasting rights for the tournament
However, he said he was not directly involved in negotiations with FIFA regarding the rights acquisition.
He added that several key sponsors for the initiative have also been identified and are currently being finalised, with further announcements expected soon.
Besides television broadcasts, Fahmi said public viewing events will also be organised at selected locations nationwide to boost engagement among football fans during the tournament
He added that the government hopes the 2026 FIFA World Cup will unite Malaysians through the spirit of sports and togetherness.
He also stressed the importance of complying with anti-piracy laws, warning that enforcement will be strengthened against illegal streaming and unauthorised broadcasts.

You will be able to stream matches online for free via MYTV and RTM Klik, while Unifi TV will offer full live coverage through subscription plans.
