Young Malaysian Gymnasts Win 5 Gold Medals In International Gymnastics Competition

16-year-old Koi Sie Yan played a huge part in the competition which was held in Greece.

The national gymnast squad have made all of us proud once again by clinching 5 gold medals in the recent Elegant Cup in Greece – their first international competition this year

The Elegant Cup, which is the 3rd International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament this year happened from 19 to 21 February.

Izzah Amzan, who is the latest member of the national squad, showed her capability by winning 2 gold medals in the ribbon and hoop category. The 5th gold medal came from the junior squad's remarkable group exercise performance.

15-year-old Izzah was promoted from the junior squad to the senior squad earlier this year.

The junior team consists of Koh Jei Yi, Wong Kay Lyn, Amirul Fares Amira Sofiya, Nur Irdina Abdul Malek and Jessie Liaw Zi Xing. They scored 10.250 points for the top prize.
