In a charming nod to Sir David Attenborough turning 100 on 8 May, LEGO has playfully "updated" its age rating to 100+

In a recent social media post, the brick-building company celebrated the legendary naturalist's milestone birthday with a message that basically says: growing up is optional.

The post wished Attenborough a happy 100th birthday and highlighted that play doesn't come with an expiry date.

Alongside the message was an image of a LEGO box showing an updated age range of "4 – 100+", a cheeky twist on the brand's usual "4 – 99" guideline, which has long been seen as a humorous upper limit.

While LEGO hasn't officially confirmed any actual change to its product packaging, the symbolic update feels like a fitting tribute

After all, if anyone embodies lifelong curiosity, wonder, and joy in discovery, it's Attenborough.

The British broadcaster and natural historian is best known for his iconic nature documentaries like Planet Earth and The Blue Planet, which have introduced generations to the wonders of wildlife and the natural world.

The Internet understandably loved it. Fans were quick to celebrate both the milestone birthday and the idea that you're never "too old" to sit on the floor and build something out of tiny plastic bricks without overthinking your life choices.

Real or symbolic, LEGO's message lands the same way: age is just a number, but curiosity is forever.
