Paredes went to the United Kingdom to join one of the biggest singing competitions in the world: The X Factor UK

After she sang her audition piece, Whitney Houston's "All The Man That I Need," for the Boot Camp week, the four judges were all impressed and moved her to the Overs Category where she sang Mariah Carey's hit, "One Sweet Day," with Mike Hough and Lascel Wood.

She passed the Overs Category, moving her up to the Six Chair Challenge that will be airing next week.

However, on Saturday, The Sun (a UK-based tabloid newspaper) spoiled that Paredes is officially qualified for the Judges House category which will be held in Los Angeles

And that's when her road to stardom hit a big wall.

The 33-year-old was refused a visa to travel to Los Angeles to film that part of the show.

An X Factor source said: "**There has been talk of a past issue causing problems but no one but Ivy knows the reason**."

"There was an issue with her application being approved. That meant she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition," said the X Factor source

**X Factor tried their best to help, but ran out of time, according to** [The Sun] (https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/1802775/x-factor-favourite-ivy-grace-paredes-forced-to-quit-the-show-after-failed-visa-application/).

Despite this issue, Paredes's breathtaking performances will always be remembered:

Here is her audition piece singing Whitney Houston's, "All the Man that I Need" when Simon Cowell, after seeing her performance, just said, "**What just happened? Oh… my… God!**"
