The interview had been widely promoted and advertised by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Go Negosyo Foundation, and TV5 on newspapers and TV ads, and on state-run station PTV 4 as [reported] (http://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/11/11/16/angelica-declares-i-am-single-and-happy) by ABS-CBN News.
Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion said Duterte had to skip today's event at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City due to a "bad migraine".
However, despite the president's excuse, Kris Aquino felt like she was stood up on their "first date" after going on a diet for the past two weeks
"**Minsan ang mga first date hindi natutuloy. President Duterte pinaghandaan kita, nag-dyeta ako ng dalawang linggo**," Aquino said on stage at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City according to ABS-CBN News.
(Sometimes, the first date doesn't push through. I even prepared for this and went on a diet for two weeks.)
On Friday night, Duterte graced the launch of [Pilipinong May Puso Foundation] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQdvMDvKYNI) and blamed migraine for missing Aquino's interview
Duterte said in his speech that he had a migraine and had to take a rest on Friday morning, forcing him to miss the Town Hall Session of the MSME Summit which was hosted by Kris Aquino.
The *Pilipinong May Puso Foundation* was founded in honor of Duterte's late mother, Soledad Roa Duterte.
Aquino hopes for the president to "give her a chance"
"**President Duterte, please give me a chance. I hope one day mamahalin mo rin ako** (one day you will also love me)," she said.
"**I apologize again that the date hindi natuloy** (did not push through). **I was stood up. But I assume the next time, sisipot na siya** (he will attend)."
Aquino even called her brother, former Philippine president Benigno "NoyNoy" Aquino III, and told him that Duterte won't make it to the event
She said her brother told her not to back out of the event. "Nagtanong ako sa kuya ko kung dapat kong ituloy. Tumawag po ako at sinabi ko, **Noy, I'm alone. Sabi ko sa kanya, what do I do?**"
"Sabi nya, 'You made a commitment. Nandyan ka para sa GoNegosyo, nandyan ka kasi you believe in the Philippine economy, and nandyan ka because you want everybody to be included in the growth of our economy,'" she said.
