The day has finally come. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte seals his Presidential Bid in Rizal Park, Manila.

Supporters began to flock around mid-afternoon wearing red shirts and other campaign-related paraphernalia, according to the report of GMA News Online.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte maintained his bad boy image, in the last day of the 2016 election campaign period and even dared people his detractors to continue their assassination attempts on him.

"Sabi dito raw kasi para safe eh gusto ko na mamatay ngayong gabi para sa Pilipino," he told the thousands of supporters who converged at the Rizal Park (Luneta) in Manila Saturday evening.

Duterte on stage was surrounded by his family including his common law wife Honeylet and their daughter Veronica as well as the wife and daughter of his son Paolo. Security personnel were also on stage.

"Saan man iyang sniper ninyo, go ahead. I would be glad to die for the Filipino. Ngayong gabi n'yo na ako patayin kasi kung ako ang nakaupo, papatayin ko kayo," he said as the crowd cheered. Via GMA News Online
