Women Of Will (WOW) just wrapped up a heartwarming celebration at PPR Hiliran Ampang, marking the closing ceremony of the Malaysia UN-SDG Trust Fund – WOW Entrepreneurship Development (WOWED) Programme

The event, held on 8 November, celebrated 200 women entrepreneurs from six PPR communities who completed the 18-month programme that empowered them with skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and community building.
Officiated by Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, Chairman of Yayasan MySDG, and Robert Gass, the United Nations Resident Coordinator ad interim for Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam, the event also featured a Community Wellbeing Day filled with activities, exhibitions, and family fun.

The WOWED programme, an intensive initiative supported by the Malaysia UN-SDG Trust Fund, the United Nations, and Yayasan MySDG directly supports the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 1: No Poverty
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
- SDG 4: Quality Education
- SDG 5: Gender Equality
- SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
- SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The WOWED programme proved that empowerment works
- 73.5% of participants saw an increase in business income
- Overall income rose by 60% on average
- 72.5% reported growing their personal savings
Many graduates have now stepped up as community leaders, collaborating with local partners to improve the lives of others in their neighbourhoods.
The event also marked the graduation of all 200 entrepreneurs, symbolising their transformation from aspiring business owners into confident leaders.

Another 20 community leaders completed advanced leadership training, learning project management, fund utilisation, and stakeholder engagement to help sustain community initiatives.
Attendees also enjoyed a Programme Impact and Product Showcase, panel sessions, and wellness activities by National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), Innoquest, and Thrive Well. There were also booths by EPF, PERKESO, LHDN, Maybank, and more, plus creative workshops, family activities, and a Jualan Rahmah bazaar.
WOW president Datin Wira Goh Suet Lan said the initiative goes beyond just business success
