The incident occurred when the woman, devastated by a breakup, climbed to the edge of the building with the intent to take her own life, according to Taiwanese news media outlet SET News.
When emergency responders arrived, a firefighter quickly sprang into action to pull her to safety.
During the rescue, the firefighter accidentally pulled down the woman's sweatpants while grabbing her legs, as she wasn't wearing a waistband, leading to an awkward moment.
However, he had no time to dwell on it, focusing instead on saving her life.
He directly supported the woman — who was left in only her underwear — by placing one hand under her buttocks, before carefully stabilising her waist and pulling her to safety.

Despite the unusual circumstances of their first encounter, the woman later reached out to the firefighter to express her gratitude
Over time, the two stayed in touch, forming a connection that blossomed into love.
Just three months after the rescue, they surprised everyone by announcing their marriage.
Their story has touched many, with social media users calling it a tale of fate and second chances.
One netizen joked, "Once you pulled her pants off, she had no choice but to marry you."
