A woman gave birth to a baby girl after going into emergency labour in the carpark of 1 Utama Shopping Centre yesterday, 21 August

Social media user @nunnajmeen shared the moment on Threads, which quickly garnered attention online.
1 Utama confirmed the heartwarming news on its socials today, 22 August, with the caption:
"30 years of memories and now a miracle at 1 Utama. On our 30th Anniversary, our everyday heroes welcomed a precious new life at 1 Utama.
"When an emergency call came through, our customer service and security teams acted swiftly and assisted an expecting mother, setting up privacy screens, and ensuring she delivered safely with medical support."
The mall also shared that both the mother and her newborn daughter, Amira, are safe and well at the hospital.
While the news struck a chord, Malaysians — true to form — filled the comments section with lighthearted jokes
"Tempat lahir: One Utama," one user joked, while another imagined the IC reading, "250820-1U-xxxx."
