A heart-stopping video circulating on social media shows a woman scaling the exterior of a high-rise building in China's Guangdong province on 30 November, 2025
The footage shows the long-haired woman, dressed in a white miniskirt, clinging precariously to the 10th floor of the residential complex.
According to South China Morning Post, the woman was allegedly with a male resident when his wife returned home unexpectedly.
To avoid being discovered, the man reportedly urged her to hide on the balcony or climb outside.
The situation took a terrifying turn as she attempted to manoeuvre down a narrow water pipe while holding a mobile phone in one hand.
She slipped and slid down an entire storey but managed to brace herself against a ninth-floor balcony to stop her fall
Realising she was trapped, she moved laterally towards a neighbour's window and banged on the glass for help, eventually being pulled to safety.
While local police have not issued a statement, the incident has sparked a wave of reactions online, with some criticising the woman and others slamming the man.
