Parokya Ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda has been openly supporting the presidential front runner Rodrigo Duterte since the very start. He has been tweeting and campaigning for the mayor through his social media pages. He posted on his Instagram page explaining his doubts and concerns and why it's smart to double check your options.
On the other hand, Archipelago guitarist and former Pupil band member Yan Yuzon withdrew his support for the mayor fully and explains why through a Facebook post which went viral.
He explains that initially he was impressed with 3 things: Davao, calamity response and Federalism. Upon reflection he told his followers:
1. Successful cities are in reality the result of great cooperation by many sectors and largely by its populace–a mayor may have been instrumental to a city's success but cannot claim single-handed credit
2. Action is also in everyone's hands and no one has a monopoly on it either–I am quite proud of how I myself and many among us have risen to the challenge to be heroes in service of our calamity-stricken countrymen time and again, and
3. Federalism can be brought forth in well-managed and calculated steps, and not by shady personalities whose end goals reek of suspicion. Ultimately, I realized that no matter how badly I wanted a strong leader to unite us all–it unfortunately cannot be this man.

Chito has been a die-hard Duterte supporter from the beginning. Now he remains undecided.
"Alam nyo naman na Duterte ako mula dati dahil bilib talaga ako sa nagawa nya para sa Davao eh. Pero pinag-aaralan ko talaga ng todo yung desisyon ko by comparing Duterte's platform and track record with those of the other candidates."
Through rape jokes and dictatorship claims…
Chito withdrawing his support for the mayor may come as a shock for some since he was known for defending the mayor through thick and thin. He even defended the "rape joke" of the mayor on his twitter page which he deleted all afterwards.
Chito remains to be a fan of the Mayor but said that he is open for discussion regarding the other candidates
He was impressed with the intellectual discussion he had with different supporters from various candidates
"Walang masama na i-double check natin lahat ng options natin." – Chito Miranda
He encourages voters to do the same.
