Police tracked down the car driver who killed a bicycle rider in a road rage shooting in Quiapo, said in a report of GMA News
Earlier, the Manila Police District's (MPD) Station 3 coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to identify the owner of a red Hyundai Eon.
The car's driver was seen in a viral CCTV footage shooting a bicycle rider, identified as [Mark Vincent Garalde](https://www.facebook.com/markvincent.garalde?fref=ts), after a fistfight along P. Casal Street in Quiapo around 9:30 p.m.Before the fistfight, the shooter was seen arguing with Garalde, who was riding his bicycle.
Garalde is a member of the [Barugo Cyclist](https://www.facebook.com/barugocylist/info/?entry_point=page_nav_about_item&tab=page_info) group and a father.
Inspector Yolando Espina of the Barbosa Police Community Precinct said the incident happened after the car hit the bicycle along P. Casal Street
After the fistfight, the driver was seen in the video footage returning to his car. The driver went out again, carrying a firearm.
The footage showed the driver shooting Garalde in the face point blank. Three more shots were fired by the shooter at Garalde even after he went down.
Another civilian, 18-year-old Rosell Bondoc, was hit by a stray bullet. She is still confined at the Mary Chiles General Hospital.
The Police recovered four bullet shells from a .45 pistol at the crime scene. This case has been elevated to the MPD headquarter's homicide division.
The driver of the Hyundai Eon is facing possible murder and frustrated homicide charges
**[Top Gear](https://www.facebook.com/TopGearPh/?fref=ts) previously named the driver through a post, and identified the Hyundai Eon driver as Nestor Punzalan, based on its plate number. However, Punzalan, denied the allegations and even coordinated with the authorities.**
Punzalan cleared his name through a TV interview, as the said accusation brought so much stress to his family
Then, who is the real killer?
According to PTV News, police revealed the real killer and identified him as **Vhon Martin Tanto**. Tanto has photos of himself 'holding two guns' and 'standing beside a red Hyundai Eon' on his Facebook account. Netizens even compared the CCTV shots to his photos from his FB account.
