A group of Thai tourists, who had originally intended to capture holiday memories at Kuala Lumpur's iconic KLCC, almost fell victim to a scam involving an uncertified photographer

According to a viral post on Threads, an incident occurred in the KLCC area where an unofficial photographer attempted to extort the group. The source stated that the photographer initially quoted a price of RM20 per person.

However, following the photo session, the photographer had taken numerous shots and subsequently charged RM20 for each picture.

Fortunately, the tourists realised the deceptive pricing and refused to comply with the demand.

Upon recalculation, the total amount demanded for the 43 photos amounted to an exorbitant RM860.

The post on Threads expressed bewilderment, stating, "It's strange why DBKL and the police aren't doing anything, especially since they're not even Malaysians. You can tell just by listening to them speak; there are many at KLCC and also at Saloma Bridge."
