A voice message from Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza miraculously prompted a response from a Malaysian man in a coma, eventually leading to his recovery

Speaking to SEISMIK, Aimi Nasruddin shared that he fell into a coma after suffering a heart attack while visiting Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia with three friends.

A doctor who happened to be jogging nearby quickly administered CPR before Aimi was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital for further treatment.

While he was in a coma at the hospital, his friends took turns flying between Malaysia and Australia to visit him, as his parents were unable to travel there

Aimi said he was in a coma for five days and was not responding to any of his friends' voices, which led his father to consider what might trigger a reaction.

Knowing Aimi had just attended a Siti Nurhaliza concert before his trip, his father reached out to friends in hopes of getting a voice message from the beloved songstress.

After about an hour of trying to make contact, Siti responded and sent a voice note filled with words of encouragement and prayers.

"I have to clarify. I did not wake up immediately after hearing Siti's voice.

"I was still in a coma, but my hand moved when the voice note was played in my ear," Aimiu told SEISMIK in a video interview.

Below is the viral video of Siti's voice message being played to Aimi:

Aimi expressed his gratitude to Siti for the thoughtful voice note, highlighting that it was three minutes long and filled with sincerity

The man said Siti was busy preparing for her concert in Singapore, yet she took the time to record the voice note for him.

He has since returned to Malaysia and, as of 31 July, marked the 20th day since waking from the coma.
