2 Form Five Students Plead Guilty To Assaulting Dormmate

Two Form Five students from a vocational college in Kemaman, Terengganu have pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court to charges of assaulting a fellow hostelmate four months ago

On Tuesday, 9 September, the 17-year-olds entered their pleas separately before Magistrate Sharifah Amirda Shasha Amir Sharifuddin, reported Kosmo.

According to the charges, the pair assaulted a 17-year-old male student by punching him in the body and kicking his leg, with one also accused of kicking the victim's backside.

The incident occurred in the vocational college hostel corridor at approximately 12.30am on 27 May.

Both students were charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of one year's imprisonment, a fine of up to RM2,000, or both, upon conviction

Kemaman district police chief Supt Mohd Razi Rosli said preliminary findings indicated the incident began after one of the accused kicked the victim's bed in an attempt to wake him.
