Facebook user Wafie Shafie posted CCTV footage of the incident on 18 December warning the public to always keep an eye on your children when taking them to the laundromat.

In the video, a child is seen climbing into a washing machine as an older boy playfully shuts the machine door

A few seconds after, the older kid tries to re-open the door only to realise that it is stuck

After multiple failed attempts, a stranger stops and tries to help him but to no avail as the door refuses to budge.
Panic ensues as what appears to be the boy's family is seen calling for help from people nearby

Within minutes, several strangers in the dobi crowd the machine trying to pry open the door.
After six long minutes of tugging and pulling, a few of the men finally manage to break open the door with a metal bar and free the boy inside.
The location and time of the incident is unknown. However, SAYS has reached out to the person who uploaded the video for further comment.
