A large sinkhole has appeared in Wangsa Maju, raising safety concerns among residents and road users in the area
The incident came to light after Threads user @arifizyani shared a video of the road collapse on 11 May.
The footage showed a deep cavity beneath the road surface, with what appeared to be water rushing into the sinkhole below.
"Be careful if you pass this road today, Jalan Wangsa Delima 4. Near the intersection of Wangsa Walk Mall," he wrote.
The post has since garnered close to 900,000 views. Another user later shared dashcam footage showing a car passing over the same spot moments before the sinkhole formed, causing the vehicle to jolt before pulling over.

The videos sparked concern online, with many commenters expressing alarm over the collapse
"Luckily the person recording was still standing on solid ground. Really brave to keep walking around and filming from every angle," one user commented.
Another pointed out that the area is surrounded by high-rise residential buildings, commenting: "Wangsa Maju?! There are so many tall apartments and condos there, and now the ground underneath is hollow?"
Another netizen suggested the collapse may have been caused by long-term erosion, saying the water could have come from drainage systems or surface runoff that gradually weakened the soil over time.
According to Astro Radio Traffic, the affected road is currently closed for repair works, and road users have been advised to take alternative routes.
