A heartwarming video of a 2025 SPM candidate breaking down in tears alongside his father has touched thousands
In a viral TikTok by @tvpss.smatkem, Fakhrul Iman Zainudin, 18, and his father, Zainudin Abdul Latif, 63, are overcome with emotion as Fakhrul receives his results of 11A+ at SMA Telok Kemang in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
The 51-second video, posted by the school's TVPSS crew, captures Fakhrul hugging his elderly father, both streaming tears of joy in a deeply emotional moment.
It has since gained over 1.8 million views.
Fakhrul credited his teachers for his success, saying in a comment under the viral video, "I would like to express my deepest appreciation to everyone who has congratulated me. I am truly very touched.
"With this opportunity, I would also like to thank my teachers who have encouraged me all the way. Without your prayers, I would not be who I am today," he said.

After the video went viral, Fakhrul said rewatching it brought back memories of his father's struggles selling laksa and fried bananas by the roadside, even before he was born
"I didn't expect such excellent results, but I wanted to repay my mother and father, who have worked tirelessly for our family.
"I really wanted both of them to accompany me to collect my results. However, my mother couldn't make it because she was preparing for her evening business," he told Kosmo!.
The straight-A student said he plans to further his studies in the Middle East, and hopes to become a lecturer in Islamic studies.
Fakhrul, a tahfiz-stream student, scored A+ in Bahasa Melayu, English, History, Mathematics, Science, Arabic, Principles of Accounting, Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah Education, Islamic Syariah Education, Hifz Al-Quran, and Maharat Al-Quran
The fourth of five siblings was also ranked the third-best SPM candidate in Negeri Sembilan, while SMA Telok Kemang, a tahfiz-stream school under the Education Ministry, recorded a school average grade of 2.13.
