A 53-year-old plantation supervisor died after he was kicked by a cow, causing him to fall off a bridge in Hulu Selangor on Saturday, 5 July
The incident was caught on CCTV and shared on social media in a 22-second clip.
In the video, the man is seen riding a motorcycle across the bridge when a cow suddenly charges from behind and kicks him with its hind legs.
The force of the kick throws him off the motorcycle, and the animal leaves the scene shortly after.
What appears to be the motorcyclist's helmet is seen falling and landing on the ground.
Hulu Selangor police chief Supt Ibrahim Husin said the victim was discovered by a plantation worker around 7.55am in a river near Ladang Batu 2, Kerling
"The plantation's assistant medical officer, who was alerted by the worker, rushed to the scene and found the man unconscious but still with a pulse.
"He immediately instructed workers to perform CPR before transporting the victim to Kuala Kubu Baru Hospital," Ibrahim said, reported the New Straits Times.
However, the victim was pronounced dead while en route to the hospital.
At the hospital, medical officers observed a wound on his forehead. A post-mortem examination later confirmed he died from severe traumatic brain injury.
The fatal head injury is believed to have resulted from the fall after the victim was kicked by the cow.
The case has been classified as sudden death.
