University Student Loses Her Scalp After Her Hair Went Under A Cement Mixer’s Tires

The incident happened in Penang yesterday, 13 November.

The scalp of a 21-year-old university student was ripped from her head after her hair came under the tires of a cement mixer in Penang yesterday, 13 November

Sin Chew Daily reported that the woman was riding her motorcycle when a cement mixer clashed into her, causing her hair to come under its tires. 

Apart from her scalp, the student also suffered major injuries on her left arm. 

The incident happened on Jalan Anson in Georgetown, Penang yesterday. 

The woman remained conscious throughout the ordeal

In spite of her injuries, the student reportedly tried to stand on her own after the incident happened. She is currently receiving treatment for her injuries at the Penang General Hospital. 

The woman was believed to be on her way to a birthday celebration as a cake was found on her motorcycle.

Meanwhile, the 40-year-old driver of the cement mixer did not sustain any injuries

Penang Island Northeast District police chief Che Zaimani Che Awang told Sin Chew Daily that the case is being investigated under Section 43(1)(a) of the Road Transport Act for driving without due care and attention.
