Police have detained three women for allegedly removing Barisan Nasional (BN) flags at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur yesterday, 17 April
According to China Press, the three women took down a total of 133 BN flags and dumped them at a nearby police station, an act deemed as a challenge to the police.
It is believed that the suspects cut down the flags with scissors at the residential area, as reported by The Star.

Two women aged 31 and another aged 37 were arrested in Taman Tun Dr Ismail last night, as confirmed by Kuala Lumpur police chief Mazlan Lazim
It is believed that the three suspects were brought to the Jinjang Central Lock-up following their arrest and are expected to be remanded for further investigation.
Mazlan was quoted by The Star, "We are still investigating the incident. We aim to get to the bottom of the matter as soon as possible.
"The case is classified under Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing mischief."

It was the second arrest made by the police within a week after a man was nabbed recently for taking down BN flags in Brickfields
The Sun Daily reported that a 48-year-old man under the influence of alcohol was arrested for removing BN flags near Jalan Tun Sambanthan 4 in Brickfields last Thursday, 12 April.
