Huang, while visiting spoke strongly against racism and stressed that China will not stand by and watch if the Chinese communities' rights are trampled on in other countries.
In response to Huang's remark, an enraged Arman wanted the Chinese ambassador to make a public apology for his "unwise" remarks and stay out of Malaysia's domestic affairs.

8. Justifying the "Cina babi" comment hurled at a reporter during the "red shirts" rally, Jamal Yunos explained that, "for Malays to say 'babi' we are sensitive because 'babi' (pork) is forbidden but for the Chinese, it is their food, no problem."

Although these were not remarks made by local politicians, these racially charged posters that were circulating prior to the Himpunan Maruah Melayu that read, "Cina Turun Bersih, Sedialah Bermandi Darah", angered most Malaysians
