Jellybean isn't a temple stray but a beloved pet, frequently brought to the site by its owner, Liu, who says the cat enjoys soaking up the sun in the bustling plaza.
However, its newfound fame has come with challenges.
With growing crowds lining up for a high-five, some online observers have joked that Jellybean might be "on strike" from overwork.

Liu insists this isn't the case, affirming that Jellybean's wellbeing remains his priority.
The temple, home to numerous stray cats, has also urged visitors to refrain from feeding unbranded treats to the animals.
Last summer, several temple cats fell ill after consuming low-quality snacks from nearby vendors.
With Jellybean's rising popularity, many hope that both tourists and temple staff can strike a balance between enjoying the feline's presence and ensuring its welfare.
