Despite Datuk Seri Vida's luxury cars and 727 personal belongings being auctioned off for RM1 million, a subcontractor says they will still pursue the remaining RM100,000 she owes
According to AH Design Communication Sdn Bhd's lawyer, Samir Zainal, the auctioned items, which included luxury vehicles and household goods, were part of a court-ordered seizure to recover Vida's outstanding payment, reported Berita Harian.
"Based on the auction proceeds, we managed to collect RM1 million. The original claim was around RM1.1 million.
"I will obtain further instructions from my client. As far as we understand, they still intend to collect the remaining amount," said Samir.
He added that discussions are still underway to determine the next course of action, including the possibility of holding another auction.

The auction took place at Vida's bungalow in Meru Heights and began at 10.30am on Thursday, 30 October
Only two bidders participated, but one withdrew after failing to meet the court's minimum bid price.
AH Design Communication's owner, Mohamad Taufik Kamarul Bari, said the company is satisfied with the auction results and will consider other legal avenues to recover the remaining RM100,000.
Previously, it was reported that this auction had been postponed multiple times since December 2024 after Vida failed to settle her outstanding debt, which had been ongoing since 2018.
