Skeletal Remains Found In Water Tank Confirmed To Be Missing UiTM Student

He was reported missing on 9 June 2018.

On 24 March, human remains were discovered in an 800,000-gallon water tank in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan

10 firemen and divers took 40 minutes to collect the man's body parts from the water tank, Harian Metro reported.

On 3 July, Jempol district police chief Supt Muhd Nur Hishamuddin Hashim revealed that the skeletal remains were those of a missing UiTM student

DNA test concluded that the remains inside belonged to 22-year-old Muhammad Aiman Hakim Mat Ani.

The victim was a final year student studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the university's campus near Raub, Pahang, New Straits Times reported.

Aiman was reported missing on 9 June 2018

"We have informed the family on the test results. DNA testing requires time since the skeletal remains discovered had deteriorated and we believe it had been in the water tank for quite some time," Hishamuddin said.

The victim's remains were reportedly not found intact.
