Three teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery causing hurt, involving high-value collectables in Singapore

The incident, which occurred at 1.10am on Friday, 6 March, took place along Balam Road.

According to police, the suspects arranged a meeting with a 34-year-old man under the guise of purchasing One Piece trading cards

The collection was valued at approximately SGD8,000 (RM24,960), according to the Singapore Police Force. However, the transaction turned violent when the youths allegedly assaulted the victim before fleeing with the expensive collectables.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the struggle and was taken to a hospital for treatment

Despite the chaotic nature of the early-morning attack, the perpetrators were not at large for long. Officers from the Bedok Police Division tracked down and arrested all three suspects within 16 hours of the initial police report.

Police said extensive ground enquiries and analysis of surveillance footage helped expedite the arrests.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the stolen trading cards have been successfully recovered

A 17-year-old male is scheduled to be charged with robbery causing hurt, which carries a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane.

The two younger teenagers, aged 15 and 16, are currently assisting the authorities with ongoing investigations.
