A simple conversation about a mobile Internet package turned into a terrifying race for survival for a 14-year-old boy in Shah Alam after he was tied up, sodomised, and locked away for three hours

According to Berita Harian, the incident occurred at an apartment in Bukit Kemuning on 11 May.

According to Shah Alam district police chief ACP Ramsay Embol, the suspect allegedly lured the teenager with the promise of a phone data deal.

Ramsay said closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured the suspect and the victim together at around 8.05am, shortly before the situation turned violent inside the unit.

The victim was told he had to help carry items into the suspect's home to secure the package

Ramsay said the suspect was seen acting normally before the alleged crime took place.

However, once inside the apartment, the boy's hands and feet were tied, and he was allegedly sodomised by the unidentified man.

The teenager was left alone in the unit for approximately three hours while still restrained.

Despite the trauma, the 14-year-old managed to loosen his ties and shouted for help through a bedroom window

His screams caught the attention of neighbours, who quickly intervened and rescued him.

Police were immediately notified of the incident around 12pm.

Ramsay confirmed that the suspect has been identified, and a manhunt is currently underway to track him down.

The case is being investigated under Section 342, Section 377C, and Section 323 of the Penal Code for carnal intercourse against the order of nature

Ramsay, who is leading the investigation, noted that the suspect also faces charges for wrongful confinement and voluntarily causing hurt.

The police urged anyone with information on the suspect's whereabouts to come forward.
