Residents of an apartment in Ampang are devastated after finding several of their beloved community cats dead under suspicious and heartbreaking circumstances
Over the past few days, residents of Pangsapuri Seri Nilam have come across many lifeless bodies of the stray cats that they regularly fed — some cats were reportedly found foaming and bleeding from the mouth, while others were stuffed into black plastic bags.
A concerned resident and cat feeder, known as @fourmeows1 on X, has been documenting the disturbing events. They believe that the cats were either poisoned or thrown from the apartment's upper floors.
"Dozens of cats have been found dead in heartbreaking conditions, including a pregnant mother cat," they wrote.

Sharing photos of the heartbreaking scenes, they also posted a video of a woman, who regularly feeds the cats, sobbing while cradling one of the dead cats in her arms
"As feeders, we are aware of our own limitations. If we could, we would take in all the strays and protect them from harm," @fourmeows1 wrote in the post.
They expressed sorrow over how cruel the world could be to strays, but vowed to continue doing everything in their ability to help them.
According to @fourmeows1, at least 16 cats have been found dead so far.
The most recent case, reported on Monday, 14 July, involved an orange tabby discovered with severe injuries. Based on the condition of the body, they believe the cat was abused and thrown from a high floor.
It remains unclear whether these acts of cruelty were committed by a single person or multiple individuals.

The resident told SAYS that they have lodged reports with both the Department of Veterinary Services and police, urging further action to be taken
The cat feeder also claimed that the apartment's management has been uncooperative, allegedly refusing to grant them access to CCTV footage that could help identify the perpetrators.
They expressed hope that the authorities will act swiftly to stop further harm from befalling the remaining strays.
