Selangor Headmistress Arrested By MACC For Allegedly Misappropriating B40 Aid Funds

A school headmistress in Selangor has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly misappropriating MyKasih funds meant for B40 students

According to Berita Harian, the headmistress allegedly siphoned about RM16,000 in 2021 from a non-profit set up to provide food, education, and training for the poor.

The issue came to light following reports lodged by members of the public and school stakeholders, prompting a probe by Selangor MACC.

The suspect, in her 50s, was summoned to the Selangor MACC office yesterday morning, 10 September, to give her statement before being arrested

She will be charged at the Shah Alam Sessions Court today, 11 September, said Selangor MACC director Azwan Ramli.

The case is being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 for abuse of power for personal gain.
