RON97, Unsubsidised RON95 And Diesel Prices Rise As US-Israel Conflict With Iran Drives Oil Surge

RON97 petrol and diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia have risen this week, while subsidised RON95 remains steady as global oil markets react to the US–Israel conflict with Iran

According to the Finance Ministry, the retail price of RON97 petrol increased by 10 sen, bringing it to RM3.25 per litre.

Meanwhile, diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia saw an eight sen jump to RM3.12 per litre. However, rates in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remained unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

Unsubsidised RON95 was not spared either, with its price climbing by eight sen to RM2.67 per litre.

Subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 programme will remain at RM1.99 per litre

According to the New Straits Times, the new prices will start reflecting today, 5 March, until 11 March.

The ministry stated that the government remains committed to reviewing and adjusting retail prices based on global market movements.

These weekly rates were calculated using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.

MOF assured that it will continue to monitor crude oil trends closely to manage any further impact on Malaysians.
