According to officials, an escalating crackdown against Myanmar's Rohingya minority has left at least 100 people dead in the country's Rakhine state.
The Rohingya community, a Muslim minority, have suffered persecution for decades.
The street protest was organised by PAS and NGO near Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur, where Muslim NGOs called for Malaysian Govt to sever tie with Myanmar Govt
According to Melissa Goh, Malaysia Bureau Chief For Channel NewsAsia, police arrested more than a hundred Rohingyas for illegal assembly and obstructing traffic

During the protest, one of the Rohingya protesters reportedly tried to set himself on fire. He, too, was arrested.
