A restaurant worker was allegedly caught washing leftover cooked food — including chicken, lamb, and tofu — believed to be intended for reuse and resale the following day
In a Facebook post yesterday, 3 February, a passerby claimed he witnessed the incident at an eatery outside a mall in Seremban at around 12.18am.
He alleged that he saw the worker washing the gravy off cooked meat and tofu before separating the items into trays.
"When confronted, it was revealed that the leftover food was being washed to be reused the next day," he claimed.

Describing the incident as shocking, he said another worker initially attempted to mislead him with dishonest explanations, but later admitted that the food would be cooked again, claiming it was "not dangerous"
"This is completely unacceptable and poses a serious risk to public health," said the Facebook user.
He added that he shared photos and videos of the incident to raise public awareness and urged authorities to take firm action, expressing concern that the practice may not be an isolated case.

The Negeri Sembilan State Health Department (JKNNS) has confirmed that it is investigating the matter
According to Malay Mail, JKNNS director Dr Zuraida Mohamed said the department received information regarding the allegation on the same day and immediately instructed relevant officers to conduct an investigation.
"A report was brought to my attention, and I have asked the officers concerned to look into the matter," she said.
