Rapid Rail has responded to an incident in which KL Monorail commuters were transferred from one train to another mid-track following a breakdown today, 20 November
In a statement, Rapid KL said the train experienced a power supply disruption, causing it to stop between the Medan Tuanku and Titiwangsa Stations at 8.50am.
A 30-second viral video on Threads shows passengers alighting from the broken train and crossing the elevated tracks above the busy Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman to board another train.
A separate video shows a 58-year-old female passenger being carried out of the train after she reportedly fainted during the incident.
Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department operations commander Mohamad Remi Che Hat said 373 passengers were successfully evacuated, and the passenger who fainted regained consciousness after receiving treatment, reported Harian Metro.

Rapid Rail said operations resumed to normal at 11.33am following repair works
During the disruption, the public transport company said alternative train and complimentary shuttle bus services were deployed to assist affected commuters.
It added that the affected train was taken to the depot for inspection and further repair works.
Rapid Rail expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and thanked commuters for their patience and cooperation.
