Rapid KL To Operate 24-Hour Services On 30 & 31 August For Hari Kebangsaan

If you're heading to the countdown or the Hari Kebangsaan parade this weekend, Rapid KL will be running 24-hour transport services to make travelling easier during the festivities
In conjunction with Ambang Merdeka on 30 August, Rapid KL services will operate non-stop from 6am, 30 August until 11.30pm, 31 August.

According to Rapid KL, this special extension covers:
- Rail services: LRT, MRT, Monorail, and Sunway BRT
- Bus services: 86 routes with 235 buses on the eve of Hari Kebangsaan, and 100 routes with 308 buses on Hari Kebangsaan
- Rapid On-Demand (ROD): 20 vans across five zones in Putrajaya and one zone in the CBD (RM1 bookings via MyRapid Pulse app)
- Putrajaya shuttles: 96 free buses on three routes to Dataran Putrajaya
Additionally, selected bus routes will be extended until 4am to cater to late-night crowds on both 30 and 31 August

According to Malay Mail, more than 5,000 frontline staff will also be deployed to manage crowds and ensure smooth travel during the extended operations.
The initiative, part of Rapid KL's Denyut Nadi Merdeka programme, is aimed at reducing congestion and making it easier for Malaysians to join the celebrations safely.
