Klang Valley commuters faced frustrating starts to their mornings this week after technical issues disrupted services on the LRT Kelana Jaya Line during peak hours
In a statement this morning, 24 February, at around 7.50am, Rapid KL announced delays between the Asia Jaya and Taman Bahagia stations.
According to the operator, a train had to be manually operated due to a system fault.
As a safety precaution, trains were required to move at reduced speeds and remain longer at platforms, leading to congestion along the line.
In a subsequent update, Rapid KL said alternative train services had been activated.

By 8.20am, the operator confirmed that services had resumed to normal after the manually operated train was removed from service
However, it noted that while train schedules had been adjusted, it would take some time to clear the buildup of passengers.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience," it said.
The disruption comes just a day after a similar incident on 23 February, when the LRT Kelana Jaya Line was also affected by technical issues, resulting in several trains being taken out of service.
The incident drew frustration from commuters, as it occurred on the first working day after the Chinese New Year holidays.
The latest disruption has also sparked frustration online, with commuters sharing photos of crowded platforms and long lines
"Rapid KL/Prasarana, why no notice or announcement so we can manage our trips earlier instead of waiting like this? And when will you improve the Kelana Jaya Line? It's been years of the same issue," wrote one netizen.
"Rapid KL/Prasarana, please, I was late to the office yesterday. Are you going to make me late again today? I've been stuck at the LRT since 7.45am," another commented.
"KL Sentral – 8.20am. Two days in a row? You've got to be kidding me. In six months alone, this has happened a few times. Beyond speechless," said another user.
