A Policeman Was Caught Working As A Pimp In Klang Prostitution Syndicate

He was arrested along with three Indonesian women and two local men during a raid on 21 November.

A 26-year-old police constable was arrested for allegedly being a pimp during a raid on 21 November

According to a report by Harian Metro, the constable was arrested at a condominium unit in Setia Alam, Shah Alam. 

The authorities believe that the suspect is part of a Klang-based prostitution syndicate which sources for clients via WhatsApp.

They found the constable's uniform, drugs paraphernalia for syabu, cash, and condoms at the scene. 

New Straits Times (NST) reported that the constable is attached to the logistics department of the Serdang police headquarters.

Klang Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mazelan Paijan confirmed the case and told NST that three other Indonesian women and two local men were arrested to assist investigations in the operation called Ops Noda

One of the Indonesian women who was arrested claimed to be the constable's girlfriend. The police believe that she is a prostitute. 

"About 6.15pm on 21 November, a D7 (Secret Societies, Gambling, Vice) team from the Klang Utara district police headquarters, as well as enforcement officers from the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) monitoring and carrying out intelligence surveillance there confirmed that there were indeed prostitution activities at the hotel. 

"Based on the information gleaned from WhatsApp, the prostitution syndicate advertised pictures of the women, named Miss Dyan, Miss Aylla, Miss Evi, and Suraya," explained Mazelan Paijan.

Initial investigations revealed that the prostitution syndicate passes off foreign women as Malaysians to attract more customers

The suspects have been remanded for a week and the case is being investigated under Section 372A of the Penal Code for prostitution.
