The two sharp weapons seized from the 14-year-old boy accused of fatally stabbing a 16-year-old female student in Bandar Utama were purchased online
According to The Star, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said at a press conference today, 15 October, that the weapons — a knife and a kerambit (curved blade) — were bought through an online platform.
"Initial investigations found that the suspect's family was unaware of the purchases.
"We are still investigating which online platform was used and how long the suspect had owned the weapons," he said.

Although two weapons were recovered, Shazeli confirmed that only one knife was used in the attack
According to the New Straits Times, the 16-year-old student who was killed at the secondary school yesterday is believed to have sustained multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest.
Shazeli said a post-mortem revealed that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds, but the exact number of injuries will only be confirmed once the full report is finalised.
He added that no bag checks were conducted when the suspect entered the school.
