Police: Topless Man Who Died In Puchong Tested Positive For Drugs

A man who died after behaving erratically on a street in Puchong tested positive for three types of drugs in a post-mortem toxicology screening

According to the New Straits Times, Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the man, who is believed to have had a history of mental health issues, tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol, amphetamine, and methamphetamine.

A post-mortem examination has been completed, and investigators are working to determine the cause of death.

The case has been classified as sudden death, pending further investigation. Muhamad Farid also urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist the police.

On Sunday, 6 July, police received a distress call at 11.05am about a man causing a disturbance along Jalan 23, Taman Bukit Kuchai, Puchong

A one-minute video posted on social media shows the man lying on his bare back in the middle of the road.

As passersby approached to check on him, he crawled to the curb and began digging at the ground, eating grass and soil.

The video also shows passersby restraining the man by tying his hands and legs, believed to be an attempt to prevent him from harming himself.

He lost consciousness shortly after and was pronounced dead at the scene. No identification documents were found on the deceased.
