Police are currently investigating acts of vandalism on over 20 damaged gravestones at a Muslim cemetery in Melaka
According to Bernama, the incident took place at As-Syakirin Islamic Cemetery in Bachang yesterday, 21 June.
The cemetery is located about 6.5km away from Melaka City Centre.

Local residents reported the incident at 8pm on Friday when they discovered the gravestones were damaged
According to State CID chief AC Mohd Nor Yhazid Idris, the police were inspecting several lodged reports and would open an investigation paper.
''We are in the process of identifying the individuals involved and had taken statements from two people who were allegedly at the scene to help in investigation,'' he said as reported by Bernama.
