Meet Chen Hao, a 28-year-old gym administrator who brought his relatable physique to a professional bodybuilding stage in China, instantly becoming an Internet sensation

Unlike his chiselled rivals at the Chongqing Yongchuan District Youth Fitness and Bodybuilding Competition on 23 November, Chen admitted to having zero training.

He was seen hilariously peeking at competitors to mimic their flexes, causing even the other bodybuilders to struggle to keep a straight face.

Weighing in at 87.5kg and standing at 1.65m tall, Chen was unsurprisingly eliminated in the first round.

However, his audacity to stand alongside the muscle-bound contestants has won over the internet.

Chen admitted to Nanguo Morning Post that he gained the weight through eating and simply hasn't worked it off yet.

Despite the visual contrast, he remained unfazed by the giggles from the audience, viewing the experience as a chance to "present himself".

"Many people asked me why I dared to join this contest. Let me tell you, you should be audacious and fear nothing," Chen declared.

He even jokingly patted his stomach, adding, "I have what the muscular men do not have."

Social media users in mainland China have dubbed him a hero for his self-assurance

One netizen commented, "They are building their bodies while you are building courage."

While some praised him, others couldn't help but crack jokes about the unlikely "Sports Supermodel".

Chen, however, is taking the newfound fame in stride, saying he finds the ridicule "talented" rather than offensive.

Even his girlfriend supports his antics, describing him as simply "funny".
