Miss Universe 2015 [Pia Wurtzbach] (http://says.com/ph/news/pia-wurtzbach-reminds-us-the-real-meaning-of-true-beauty-in-a-touching-you-c-1000-ad) posted a long message to her bashers on Instagram after receiving several criticisms from her bashers about her advocacy work

Wurtzbach once and for all defended her work as Miss Universe after bashers told her that she still hasn't found the cure for HIV when she stated during the Miss Universe Q&A that she will raise awareness and not "magically gonna come up with a potion that cures everything".

"Just to get some things straight. I haven't forgotten about my advocacy, ok? I'm so tired of people complaining that I haven't found *the cure* for HIV when clearly I said I would raise awareness."

"I'm not magically gonna come up with a potion that cures everything… But are you really getting the point of my message during the final Q&A? I said I would raise awareness. Putting the spotlight on it so we can start talking about it," she [wrote] (https://www.instagram.com/p/BMft8DoA0ng/?taken-by=piawurtzbach).

Wurtzbach also emphasized that she's not the type who regularly posts pageant activities despite her awareness that fans based her efforts on the number of her social media posts

"Am I gonna carry my phone around with me and take every selfie, every photo I see to ease your worries? No. I don't work like that. I put my phone down and I work. And did it work? Yes," she added.

"Just like the during the competition, I wasn't posting my everyday pageant activities and that upset a lot of fans. They thought I wasn't doing any effort. **I just really did not like posting anything online. Why? Cos I didn't feel like I needed to. Instagram isn't part of the judges panel**."

Wurtzbach also reminded everyone that social media isn't her life (and shouldn't be ours, too). She'd rather put down her phone and do her work than lose the experience because she was on her phone staging photos.

"What I say in public is a promise. Why worry about updating everyone on social media and in the process losing the experience because you were on your phone the whole time staging photos. **Now ask yourself, did you get yourself tested?**"

Being the positive woman she is she concluded that, despite all the bashing she's been receiving, the fact that people are talking about HIV/AIDS proves that they got the message. And hey, bad publicity is still publicity, eh?

"**This year the numbers have gone at an all time high. But maybe that's because more people are getting themselves tested making our statistics more accurate.** I can't work a miracle here. I still consider myself as a student and I'm learning more and more everyday."

"So before you go saying that I haven't done anything, the mere fact that you're talking about how little I am doing charity work for HIV/AIDS, isn't that awareness in itself? You're thinking about it, right? Talking about it, correct? Bashing me in the process BUT still getting the message out there."

She posted her message with a bikini photo to get her bashers' attention (well played!).

In her previous post, Wurtzbach reminded her supporters to pray and be grateful in any circumstance they are in their lives

Because oftentimes we forget to simply say thank you. "The reason why I'm posting this is to remind everyone that sometimes we forget to simply say thank you. Too often we pray when we're in the dark but do we also pray to say thank you when we're okay? Don't forget to say thank you."

So guys, don't lose hope. He has a plan for you. You just have to have faith in yourself and in Him. And together you will find your destiny. Just like I did. I'm still a work in progress but I'll never forget the true power He holds and will always hold. To my first and true love. You," [wrote] (https://www.instagram.com/p/BMfZgrlgQxo/?taken-by=piawurtzbach) Wurtzbach.
