PDRM: Most Telco Scam Victims In Malaysia This Year Are Aged 21 To 30

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Commercial Crime Investigation Department has released its latest statistics on telecommunications crimes recorded nationwide between January and November 2025
According to the department, a total of 28,698 telecommunication crime cases were reported during the period, involving losses amounting to RM715 million.
Individuals aged between 21 and 30 made up the largest group of victims, with 8,789 cases recorded
This was followed by those aged 31 to 40, who accounted for 6,825 cases, and the 41 to 50 age group with 4,977 cases.
Meanwhile, 3,382 cases involved victims aged 51 to 60.
The lowest number of victims came from the 15 to 20 age group with 1,962 cases, and those aged above 60, which recorded 2,763 cases.
