PDRM Announces 6 Highways & 25 Main Roads To Close For 26-28 October ASEAN Summit

Six highways and 25 main roads across the Klang Valley will be closed or rerouted in stages for the 47th ASEAN Summit, which will take place from 26 to 28 October
In a statement today, 16 October, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said that dry runs for motorcades transporting foreign delegates from airports to hotels in the city centre will be begin as early as from 17 to 24 October.
He said a total of 1,111 police officers will be deployed for the operations.
The official road closures will be enforced from 26 to 28 October, involving six highways and 24 main roads throughout the Klang Valley.
Motorists are advised to avoid the affected routes, plan their journeys ahead, and use public transport to minimise congestion during the summit.
